Yes, Mr. Zuckerberg, despite all your money, there is and authority above you and laws that you have to obey, whether you like it or not. So don’t react with anger, you are the one who is wrong.
During the last six months, my FB account has been “blocked” three times, (first for 24 hours, then for three days, and then for 30 days), as a result of purely political comments I had placed under articles in Russian news media with FB comments logins. I checked their “community rules” and did not find anything related to my comments. I followed the FB own guidelines to dispute these decisions but never received any answer from them. I can confirm that they are deeply engaged in political censorship. This violates our freedom of speech and our democracy that depends on it.
Article 19 of the UN International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights:
1. Everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference.
2. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice.
3. The exercise of the rights provided for in paragraph 2 of this article carries with it special duties and responsibilities. It may therefore be subject to certain restrictions, but these shall only be such as are provided by law and are necessary:
(a) For respect of the rights or reputations of others;
(b) For the protection of national security or of public order (ordre public), or of public health or morals.
