The Alberta Roundup | Danielle Smith accused of ‘stalling’ clean energy

Comment: Already in 1990s, geography textbooks for grades 7 and 8 (in Ontario) predicted that the globe would run out of fossil fuels “in about 50 years”. Since then, some new reserves were discovered and new technologies were developed, so let’s extend this timeline by another 20-30 years. However, unlike today’s governments, the old textbooks were smart. They envisioned that within the time left, science and our industries would invent and implement new sources of energy and new technologies – and this would make the transition painless. Maybe even stimulating and accellerating progress. Unfortunately, the dumbing down reforms of education that began in late 1990s resulted in incompetent and ignorant policies that we see today. I was afraid that this would happen. We have a government that destroys our economy, our health, and our social fabric by reducing and restricting the use of existing energy sources without offering sufficient alternatives. This is irresponsible. This will kill the economy and starve many people. Maybe this is the goal of our woke leaders and their international sponsors. My opinion.

I received a sidetracking reply to the above comment on YT:

@exposingworldelite722

“Oil is NOT A FOSSIL FUEL…OIL IS ABIOTIC AND PRODUCED BY THE EARTH”

to which I replied:

Maybe, but it makes no difference to the final outcome and conclussions. Meaning: – if we are running out of it, we need a replacement alternative, not suicidal solutions. Meanwhile, all alternatives offered by the government are just different forms of energy derived from already existing sources. For example, energy stored in batteries comes from power plants that use coal, oil, natural gas, or nuclear fuel. These conversions are never 100% efficient, so we always loose some energy in the process. We have to put in more to get out less. This is not a solution. Neither is wind, ocean waves and tides, or solar power harvested on the surface of Earth. These “solutions” disrupt and change the energy cycle in our environment with huge consequences for the ecosystems. We need truly new sources of energy or we need to harvest familiar energy outside of Earth’s biosphere. These dummies don’t offer any such alternatives, which means that their goal is not related to energy or climate but rather is related to depopulation and enslavement of human race. My opinion, again.
