Will AI be the end of critical thinking?

Comment: I am growing out of understanding young academics who throw a zillion words at you, mixing everything, not connecting the dots, and not reaching any clearly defined conclussions. I think it shows a success of our “reformed” education system. Bravo Mike Harris, John Snobelen, and all consecutive provincial governments (including the Liberals) who pushed this agenda until education is no more in this province. The problem is simple. If you are an athlete, you must exercise your body to become strong and able to perform challenging tasks. If you stop exercising, you become weak, you lose your skills and, consequently, you become less healthy. The same goes for our brain functions. “If you don’t use it, you lose it.” I still yell at those idiots who advertise AI software to our students and young adults (for example, the Grammarly). As soon as we introduce technologies that think for us, we will stop thinking ourselves. As soon as we introduce technologies that create things for us, we will stop being creative. As soon as we start using calculators, we will lose math skill. We will become perfect robots. Monkeys can press buttons. Is this what you want for your children?
