“NCI commissioner Ken Drysdale discusses the flaws in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms that have allowed the Trudeau government to “override all of our rights at a whim”, showing how our government was able to take advantage of the loopholes in our Charter to enforce restrictions simply by adding the label of emergency.”
Comment: I have long ago pointed to the fact that the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is narrower and “thinner” in scope and depth in comparison to the UN Human Rights provisions (Universal Declaration of Human Rights , International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights) that are widely recognized as a standard human rights by international law.
