The Head Games They Play On You … (Part 2)

(Corrected ICCPR quote at the end of this article)

“Fake and Effective” Dumb Censorship

Not long ago, Facebook was openly censoring, suspending and closing accounts that posted opinions other than the official narrative. Their rationale was, “We are protecting our platform from spreading misinformation”. They called people who criticized this policy “conspiracy theorists”. But something has changed and Facebook is no longer “straight”. Their policies were widely criticized and challenged in many ways, including Congressional hearings and legal actions. People do have the right to express their opinions freely, even though their opinions may occassionally be inaccurate. It is called “a learning process” and it is guarantied by the major documents granting us “universal” human rights.

To protect their controversial policies, various social media outlets adopted a new strategy called “shadow banning”. The mechanism was simple. If you posted a comment or entered a new post that they did not like, it would only be visible to you (while you are logged in) but nobody else could see it. You were being tricked to believe that your post was still there, unless you logged out and discovered that it has disappeared and is nowhere to be found.

Other strategies were also employed, for example, misleading “fact-checking”, limited reach of your posts, reduced stats, and territorial limitations. On several occassions, I came across a message saying that, due to government regulations, this or that post (posted abroad). could not be viewed in my country. As a result, I could no longer follow or communicate with my family and childhood friends with whom I had grown up. What a crooked way of saying, “We don’t care about your rights”.

Here is one specific example that just happened two days ago: I tried to login to my Facebook account…

Instead of being taken to my account, the following message appeared:

Screenshot #2:

I have two desktop computers and one smartphone. The above message was showing when I tried to login to Facebook from any of these three devices. No matter which device I was using, the promissed notifications did not show on the remaining two. And what, if I were traveling, or camping, and did not have my desktop computers with me? This is ridiculous! I dont post any military secrets or the location of my trackload of gold and diamonds, so I don’t need this annoying login BS. It must have been invented by Facebook for a different than security reason. Clicking on the “Try another way” link has launched this message:

Screenshot #3:

Note that only one choice is given and available, so you actually don’t have a choice. Clicking on the “Continue” button took me back to the message shown in Screenshot #2 – and this circular loop continued forever: 3 – 2 – 3 – 2 – 3 – 2 … and no other option, no way out.

Screenshot #4:

I then went to the www.facebook.com/help webpage where I found this recommendation:

Screenshot #5:

Next, I followed the “reset your password” link, which took me here:

Screenshot #6:

…and finally … I found out what was really happening:

Screenshot #7:

I followed the “let us know” link and this is where it took me:

…which conveniently forwarded me back to Screenshot #2 and the endless loop.

Now, five conclussions based on logic:

  1. If blocking my access to my account in this case was legal and legally justified, Facebook would not have to invent such creative and sneaky ways to ban me.
  2. It is possible that some “third party” hackers are causing this problem.
  3. This incident looks like an attempt to silence me and also…
  4. …like an attempt to collect identifiable information on all my devices capable of internet activities – in order to gain access and secretly conduct a covered invigilation, if one is needed. Such data would also allow the globalists to create a system “watching” and controlling the complete network of communication devices worldwide. (For our own good, of course).
  5. No notification or explanation was given as to why this action was taken by Facebook (or somebody else) and for how long I was banned. They provided the link, (in Screenshot #6): “If you think this doesn’t go against our Community Standards let us know.” How am I supposed to let them know that I disagree with “this“, if they did not specify what “this” was?
  6. I think that such attempts to ban users are hilarious. Either they think that we are stupid cattle or they themselves are dumb and pathologically sinister control fricks. Hypocrisy always takes credibility away from people who use it. The same applies to organizations and businesses. When you lie or hide things, you’ve better be smart enough to do it properly. My opinion.

International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights
Status: UN International Law
(Canada acceded to the Covenant on May 19, 1976 – 48 years ago!)

Article 19

1. Everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference.

2. Everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice.

3. The exercise of the rights provided for in paragraph 2 of this article carries with it special duties and responsibilities. It may therefore be subject to certain restrictions, but these shall only be such as are provided by law and are necessary:

(a) For respect of the rights or reputations of others;

(b) For the protection of national security or of public order (ordre public), or of public health or morals.

It doesn’t mention Facebook’s Community Standards, does it?

NOTE: Though accession has the same legal effect as ratification, the procedures differ. In the case of ratification, the State first signs and then ratifies the treaty. The procedure for accession has only one step – it is not preceded by an act of signature.
