Comment: Isn’t this indicative of a government that is afraid of The People? All communist countries disarm their citizens. In a free country people should be free to defend themselves from criminals and from criminal governments that conspire to destroy their health and their freedoms. It has been argued that crime rates are inversely proportional to the number of arms in our homes and communities. Disarming the law abiding citizens is not going to reduce the number of gun-related crimes. The opposite will actually happen. Criminals usually use illegally purchased and unregistered guns with filed off serial numbers. This is not going to change.
