Is this a Trump vs. Netanyahu war?

If yes, then I must say, “”The scythe hit the stone”.

On one hand, Trump surprised the world with his announcement of taking over Gaza. This idea has some merit. It will prevent a wider Arab – Israeli conflict that is brewing in the Middle East for some time. It will give the US access to and ownership of Gaza’s offshore oil and natural gas resources. It will also keep Israel on a financial leash. US does not want independent Israel. Israel exploiting Gaza’s resources would quickly become economically independent, and this would mean political independence as well. If Americans exploit these resources and then annually pay Israel some kind of “financial aid”, the leash will be working and Israel will have to comply with US policy goals.

On the other hand, Netanyahu does not want Trump to be too strong. A weak president has to listen to the US Israeli lobby and this is what Israel needs. Consequently, we see some ideas being pitched to Trump by his “friends and advisors” who seem to be associated with Israel. These ideas, if implemented, will seriously reduce Trump’s support base, as most Americans disagree with them. Taking over Gaza, with all its financial and military consequences? Breaking international law, (again)? Expanding artificial intelligence and transhumanism trends? And then, Netanyahu, in a televised speech, told Trump, “Thank you, mister president. You are the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House.” This, while Israel is committing war crimes and genocide in Gaza, does not reflect the sentiments of most MAGA supporters.

So, will the scythe or the stone prevail? Who will outsmart who?
