“…Prices are going up and planes are going down…”
Comment: There is something strange happening here and it is visible in the above video. You need to enlarge the video to full screen and stop it just before the touchdown takes place. Then, advance the video slowly, frame by frame, (using the > and < keys).
You will see that, just before the plane touches down, there is a white smoke coming from its right side, just behind the base of the right wing. This smoke is well above the snow on the ground and the plane is still leveled. Then, the white smoke becomes larger and the front landing gear touches the runway. Then, flames replace the smoke, the right wing breaks off and this causes the plane’s fuselage to start rotating to the right. Why is it rotating to the right? (Grade 6 Science). Because only the left wing, producing lift, is now left. The right wing is already gone. When the fuselage rotates around, the left wing touches the ground “up-side-down”, which stops the rotation and tears off the left wing. Flames are now on both sides of the plane. The fuselage keeps sliding up-side-down until it stops. The presence of flames may be explained as ignited fuel. Many plains have fuel tanks in their wings, so breaking off the wings also breaks the fuel lines and cause the fuel to leak.
The key questions that need to be answered are : 1. What has caused the white smoke that occured before the wing broke off? And, 2. What has caused the right wing to break off before the plane started rotating to the right? It does not look like an accident to me. I would rather call it “an incident”.
