Comment: It was predictable. Already several years ago, I’ve heard opinions that Israel was too costly for the US. It was also too risky for US politicians to support Israeli war crimes. United States had to find a different country to guard its interests in the Middle East region. Iran and Saudi Arabia were considered, although they have competed with each other for this function. Hopefully, an agreement was reached and both will guard the peace that comes with this new deal. Syria and Iraq may also recover sooner from their own problems. The remaining question is, “Will Israel be now forced to eliminate its nuclear weapons?”
