Comment: It is a simple concept of a “carrier wave” at certain frequencies. Then, the carrier wave is modulated by a specific signal (for example, speech) and this modulation is decoded by your phone into an analog voice wave. Just like you can hear me speaking because my voice modulates the air – the air is the carrier in this case. If you disrupt the carrier wave, you will destroy its modulation as well, so the communication signal cannot be properly decoded.
