Comment: Yes, Twiggy is right. I have seen this on some of the First Nation’s reserves in Southern Ontario since 1980s. The corruption. The chief’s and band council’s enrichment at the expense of their own people and communities. Their propaganda and “special events” trying to gain support of their communities for the take over of the land. The hoax of some of the so-called treaty rights (for example, the so-called Nanfan Treaty). Their expectations to gain the ownership of land and still demand money from the government of Canada and the white taxpayers. Their repression to silence their critics living at the reserves. Their divide and conquer tactics. Their unwillingness to improve the standard of living and independence of their members by promoting education, gainful employment, personal careers, and active rebuilding of their own communities.
