Comment: “THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DON’T WANT TO PAY FOR ANYTHING ANYMORE” – a dangerous philosophy that is also visible in other trends – younger generations don’t want to pay for health care and pensions of their parents and grandparents, the corporations don’t want to pay national taxes, so they go “international”, f*ck international law and grab as much as we can for ourselves – after all people are born with hands oriented to themselves, not away from themselves. So, Russia grabs Ukraine; Israel grabs Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran; China grabs Taiwan and South China Sea; and the US grabs Panama, Venezuela, Greenland, and possibly Canada. And all of this is somehow justified because it is in our respective “best interests”, right?
BTW, the Ukraine war was provoked by NATO under the leadership of the US, not by the Europeans. It was later dumped on the Europeans in a form of anti-Russian sanctions and increased NATO contributions which destroyed their economies. Are we re-writing history and our own cultural values because we are greedy and selfish, doctor? Remember, you too will be old one day and you too may be invaded. You, too, will need help, when this happens. What you are trying to justify will not work. It will lead to a global war as a result of conflicts that will develop between these new blocks that have freed themselves of any rules and restrictions.
“WE DON’T NEED LIABILITY ANYMORE.” But you do have a responsibility to clean up the mess that you (as the US) had created – and this is your liability, whether you like it or not, doctor.
