Comment: The problem, I think, is that medical sciences have been hijacked by Big Pharma in a framework of the private – public partnership. (I am writing about Canada.) In exchange for money and sponsorship, medical schools were forced to adjust their curriculums and to promote treating symptoms, rather than treating causes of various deseases. Why? Because a healthy population would mean that Big Pharma is no longer making big money.

The same applies to doctors, hospitals, and other medical services. Imagine being a doctor and having no patients coming in for appointments (and no income) because everybody is healthy. We have to move away from private clinics and private-public partnerships. We have to return to government funding of health care. We have to outlaw Big Pharma’s bribing our schools, our doctors, and our medical institutions.

To do that, we have to return to fair taxation of corporations and we have to close loopholes allowing corporations to dodge taxes in their countries of origin. It is really simple, if politicians stop accepting corporate bribes.
