Comment: I am including this film here as a testimony that The Catholic Church has not always followed a Christian way but has always recovered and returned to its original mission. Hopefully, it will happen again.

Comment: I see this as an attempt to avoid problems related to the pension plan crisis. It’s easier to offer assistance in dying than to manage the federal and provincial budgets competently and honestly.

In 2015, I saw posters put on display in some pension plan organizations. They complained that a crisis was coming because the baby boomers began to reach retirement age. I heard the same alarming news from our government. So, I asked them, in writing, “The baby boomers, in their great numbers, have contributed to their pension plans. Today’s working people, in their smaller numbers, contribute less. I don’t see a problem here. Each generation pays for their own pension plan. I don’t want my son’s generation to pay for my pension plan, I have already paid for my pension plan. Where did the money go? If it isn’t there, then who stole it? Who mismanaged the plan?” They never answered.

Comment: So many huge threats due to potential cyber attacks and yet, they are pushing a cyber-based cashless economy with electronic payments and transactions and cyber-based security systems to control the people. And this will be safe, right? Go figure!

Comment: A successful prevention would bankrupt big pharma and this would mean the end of extra money for politicians, doctors, and many others. Corruption is the name of the game.

I would be very careful with privatizing health care as an alternative for our current broken system. Every such attempt (and there are a few that I have identified) leads to services that individuals (not the society at large) have to pay for. Such projects lead to a system that many people will not be able to afford. We should fix the public health care system, after fixing the country, bringing our real economy back, eliminating corruption, and restoring fair taxes for corporations that want to do business in or with Canada – as it used to be in the past, when health care, education and social services were much better than they are today. I understand why doctors would love a private system but this is a wrong priority. Doctors exist for the people, not the other way around. Some doctors are corrupted, they invent ways to double and tripple charge the government for the same, unsolved medical condition. This contributes to the bankruptcy of the system just as does the fact that treatment of symptoms has replaced treatment of causes and prevention.

It should be illegal for pharmaceutical companies to pay doctors for prescribing their drugs. Electronic (cashless) economy could fix such cases of corruption but would also be abused by power-hungry governments and corporations. We need to focus on finding the right and fair solution. And we need to reverse-reform the curricula of medical schools, which requires public funding and elimination of public-private partnerships with strings attached (especially involving big pharma).

Comment: These initiatives will be “toothless”, unless we eliminate monopolizing of the markets by restoring and enforcing government regulations re: anti-trust laws and consumer protection laws. The government needs to start working on regulating the economy instead of privatizing their responsibilities in order to do less. This, of course, would require strict anti-bribing laws but who is going to challenge the corrupted politicians? We do need a different system or else nothing will change. My opinion.
