Comment: I admire you for your courage, integrity, and the depth of your thought. However, trauma created by the Holocaust is only one way of looking at this problem. History of Jewish expulsions and pogroms began long before WW2. They took place in different times and different parts of the Earth, in different cultures. Something was causing them, something that the Jewish people need to identify and reflect on. I have a pretty good idea what that something was and I see it today, too. I don’t want to touch it because it is a delicate subject and it would only trigger a defensive reaction among some Jewish communities. Correction: I should say, “Zionist communities” because many Jews don’t support Zionism or cultural isolation based on the belief that they are “chosen by God” and therefore somehow better than the rest of us. Anyhow, untying this knot is not going to be easy but it can only be done and addressed by Jews themselves.

Comment: Poilievre is supporting a recall legislation. This is obviously a retribution after losing four MPs who recently crossed the floor to Libarals and gave the Liberals a majority government. I have a problem with this.
We used to talk about “jumping beds”, now we see “jumping political parties”. Most voters vote on the program of the political party, not on the beatiful eyes of the candidates. I see crossing the floor for personal reasons as political prostitution and a betrayal of the voters. And yes, we live in times when cadidates, during their campaigns, say what the voters want to hear but quickly forget about is as soon as they get elected. Also, there is very little difference in politics between the Conservatives and the Liberals lately, at least in the most important matters.

Comment: Trump just decided to implement a total blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Expected outcome? Global energy crisis, especially in China that relies on energy imports from Iran. What is China going to do about it? Iran will still be able to export its energy resources to China via Tajikistan or to Russia via Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan or via the Caspean Sea, and Russia can send them to China, no problem with that. Also, a continuing blockade of the Strait of Hormuz increases demand for Russian oil and natural gas. United States and Canada did not suffer much as a result of the closure of Strait of Hormuz because we did not import much oil from the Persian Gulf (Fact!) Then, why are the prices increasing at our gas stations?! God only knows… It’s all BS and it’s bad for you. What we see is a global attempt to trigger the Great Reset. My opinion.
Comment: Yes, there are those who want to exclude religion from the public arena but there are also those who want to use religion to disarm a legitimate and based on facts critique of their sins. For example, if I Iove other people, I should not criticize crimes against humanity or war crimes that they are committing. That’s wrong.
Comment: Yes, as long as this does not mean privatizing the health care system and placing it out of reach of oridinary people – especially now, as we are approaching a serious economic crisis. Young people don’t need doctors and treatments often, they are usually healthy. However, old and retired people don’t have a full coverage insurance anymore and will not be able to afford health care, if they have to pay for it by themselves. They used to be young, too, and paid for their parents’ generation. Now, it’s their turn to be helped. That’s the only way in a civilized society. Unfortunately, the culture is changing and this is difficult to undo. As always, greed and selfishness are the culprits. Young people should remember that they, too, are getting old.
Health Care, including medical schools and their curricula, should remain in public domain and should be freed from private-public partnerships, especially from the Big Pharma donors. Big Pharma should pay fair taxes to the governments and the governments should finance the Health Care system. I know, I know, it is easier for the ministers to just “represent” – (whatever that means), rather than to do the work and be accountable for the results – but work is what we pay them for and it is time to roll up their sleeves and get busy.
