Comment: I am absolutely surprised by the incompetence of all those MPs who took part in this standing ovation. I want to know if our MP for the Dundas – Ancaster – Hamilton West riding was also standing there and clapping, when this embarrassing incident took place. Does anybody have a video or a link to a video showing the actual MPs who did?
BTW, I have a better saying that relates to the elections: “Men shoot but God carries the bullets”.
I have slept on this news item and, this morning, saw Rosie Barton’s discussion panel on CBC – nowhere near the real issues, in my opinion. WHAT IF all this scandal was deliberately arranged by some smart intelligence communities in order to send a clear message to Ukraine and to pres. Zelenskyy that Canada does not support Nazis, like the Azov Batallion, and their increasing control of Ukraine? This could have been arranged by the Russians or by the Israelis, or by our own secret services. I don’t think that Trudeau would be made aware of this, if it indeed happened that way. He is clever but he is not smart enough to be trusted in such a delicate operation. And he is too strongly influenced by ideology to be given access to realpolitics. But, he has played his role well and a strong message has been sent to Ukraine, to Washington, and to the rest of the world, Europe included. Maybe Zelenskyy also needed that kind of support in his efforts to limit the military and political power of the Nazis in his country. Even if this scandal was not so arranged, its outcome is still the same. So, maybe it is good that this incident happened? We will see. As the Russians say, “pozhiviom, uvidim”.
