Comment: An interesting debate but not entirely accurate. Firstly, it looked more like Hamas provided Israel with a status of a “victim” as well as a pretext and justification for ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian Occupied Territories. Also, the war with Hamas is saving Netanyahu from prosecution and removal from power. I think that Israel was not surprised, it was well prepared for the attack on October 7th. There must have been a stand down order for the army and security forces. There also is a potential of a war against several Middle Eastern states. This plan may not work as intended because there is a possibility of another plan, as well. Israel may be seeking relocation. Where? To Ukraine and beyond. This has been in the making since 2014 and the Maidan revolt, and since 2012, when Henry Kissinger reportedly stated that Israel was not going to last in the Middle East longer than 10 years.
